Like many other bands, Avra decided to head-up the entire task of recording an LP. Although we were satisfied with the performances, we were definitely not satisfied with the quality. We let the recordings clip, we used low end microphones and no compression and lacked the experience of an engineer with us in the studio. As a result our mixes were heavy in midrange and distorted, a demo at best. I didn't think anyone would be able to clean them up. After only a few hours of work, the guys returned a new mix of our song and I was just blown away by how clean and balanced it was. Completely spread out. If you've ever done a mix on your own and just thought about giving up and re-recording it, don't. Give it to these guys for a bit and see what they can do for your songs.

With the knowledge that I can sometimes be a perfectionist when it comes to working in the studio, I must say that Greg does an excellent job of getting a great overall sound from all musicians involved in the creative process. Not only is his work techinically sound with his use of Pro Tools software, he is also great to bounce ideas off of and will give his honest input on tracks during the recording process.
In terms of mixing production he is diligent, pays attention to fine details, and will work hard to achieve the desired results of his clients. Furthermore, his time is flexible while attentive with communication when working during projects. If you're looking for a great studio engineer at a great rate who won't sell you short, look no further than Greg Brady at Sonic Integration.

Gregory Brady's professionalism shines through in all that he does before, during and after the recording process. Mr. Brady is determined to make sure that you walk out of the studio with a product and sound you can be proud of. No job is too small or too big; I've recorded solo works as well as conducted a 16-piece orchestra in his studio, and both were handled with ease. What can you say about a guy who is as passionate and dedicated to your music as you are!!!!! We were lucky enough to meet Greg when we started our demos and he will be with us till the end. His attention to detail, has made our mixes jump out of the CD player. He has helped us make our music better then it could have been. When we needed a mix done fast Greg had it done well before the deadline, and sounding great. The fact that we can email our files back and forth has saved us a tremendous amount of time. Use Greg for all your mixing needs, I know we will. |
